Anglers Choice
Recipe: Bead Egg |
Steelhead and other
spawn to post spawn trout can't resist this bottom bouncer… |
Materials: |
Body1: Yarn - any 'eggy' color can be used |
Body2: White Rabbit strip |
Body3: Silver Angel Hair |
Body4: Gold Bead |
Hook: TMC 105 2X strong |
Thread: Danville flat waxed nylon |
Step 1: |
Begin by
sliding the bead onto the hook and sliding to the eye of the hook. |

Step 2: |
Tie in an
appropriate amount of yarn behind the bead.
The yarn should be enough so that the gold will not glare through, but
should not be enough as to be opaque.
Once tied in then whip finish and clip the thread. |

Step 3: |
Slide the
bead back so that it covers the tie in point for the yarn and restart the
thread in front of the bead. Bring the
yarn forward and feather around the bead so that it surronds the bead and tie
of the yarn. Clip the excess. |

Step 4: |
Take a small
pinch of white rabbit hair and feather around the top of the hook then secure
in place. If you would like you can
add a second pinch underneath the hook shank. |

Step 5: |
| Complete this pattern with a few strands of sliver angel hair
and then whip finish. |
