Welcome to the Central Ohio Fly Fishers Web site

...It is the mission of the Central Ohio Fly Fishers club to promote and encourage the sport and art of fly-fishing by providing a social setting to allow its members to share information and experiences through educational programming and activities, to build and promote fellowship among its members and to encourage the conservation and preservation of our natural resources.

COFF meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month during the Fall, Winter (except for December), and Spring.

Next Meeting: March 9, 2010 at Barley's Smokehouse. Kevin Compton will speak about "What We Can Learn About Competition Fishing." Kevin is a 39 year-old commercial tier, fly designer for Solitude Fly Co., author, and fly-tying instructor. His company, Performance Flies, distributes DOHIKU European Barbless Hooks in North America. Kevin lives in Cleveland where he ties patterns for the steelhead fisheries of Ohio & Michigan and for the trout waters of central Pennsylvania. He also spends part of each summer in the Colorado Rockies, fishing and tying patterns for guides and competition anglers. Kevin will speak about international competition fishing and the use of barbless hooks as an extension of 'catch & release' practice. Dinner and drinks at 6 p.m.; presentation starts at 7 p.m.
